CamRide

What it does

CamRide connects riders with verified drivers for trips inside the city, and matches travellers with drivers already making the same intercity journey so the cost of the road is shared rather than paid twice.

For riders

• Book a trip and watch the driver approach in real time
• See the fare before you accept it
• Pay by MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money or cash
• Share your live trip with someone you trust
• Report a driver or a vehicle, and choose never to be matched with them again
• Find intercity carpool seats with declared luggage space and agreed pickup points

For drivers

• Receive nearby trip requests while you work
• Track earnings per trip and per day
• Keep your compulsory documents in one place, with reminders before they expire
• Offer seats on journeys you were already making
• Report a rider's conduct, with the same protection riders have

Safety

Drivers are verified against the documents Cameroonian law requires before they can carry passengers. Vehicles are inspected. Trips can be tracked live and shared. Reports from either side are reviewed, and serious ones are escalated immediately rather than queued.
